Photo Gallery - CatsElliot Grew UPYes indeed, Elliot the Road Kill Kitten is now one year old and weighs in at 16 lbs. He is very healthy and robust. All the other animals find him greatly annoying as some of his socializing tactics are less that desirable - attacking other cats and snuggling with dogs is too much!

I saw him from a distance and thought he was dead, but upon my drive by, I saw his head move, and knew that he was still alive. I picked him up and took him to the vet to be euthanized to stop further suffering. On the way, Elliot began to talk to me, as though to say "I want to live". I told him that if he would try to live I would try to save him. And that is what happened. Elliot was thrown from a car. The intention was to throw him off the bridge and into the river. Elliot, instead, hit the bridge structure and landed in the roadway. He had a severe concussion as well as some wounds to his face. With a night in the emergency hospital and lots of money, Elliot was on his way to a full recovery. He is now a lively and healthy kitten and growing like a weed.
